Thor has been slamming his anvil extra hard around the Bering Sea and the North Pacific this winter and sending endless armies of racing giant waves to storm our beaches. The energy of the waves are awesome and raw. Jaws roars, daring those brave enough to challenge it.

It’s a minefield of bombing waves. I’ve surfed so much my shoulders have called it a day- I’ve been pushing my body into endless driving sets. Sore rotator cuffs and torn muscles have taken me off the water.

I know, it’s not really Ok to complain about healing from way too much fun.

Back to creative inspirations. I’ve been making a line of jewelry which touches on the circular motion of waves, times and space. That place where time seems to stop in acceleration. Nature and natural forms. Things not perfect, or filed down into correct mathematical perfections. Free forms, lucid, irregular, definitely not machine made- Flawed by human hand making. I like it that way.  Waves, circles and wholeness. Time, swirls of space. The essence of all I am and all I do.

While the hawaiian island have been hovering in a continuous electrical charge of action as one massive swell unleashes itself on us after another. I have been reading more about quantum physics and wrapping my head around it.

When scientist look deeply into what makes up matter, ‘solid forms’. They are baffled by what the “material world is actually composed of at a fundamental level.”

“Reality” is not simply made of tiny physical pieces, like a bunch of marbles or tiny little bowling balls.  Molecules are made out of atoms, and atoms are made out of subatomic particles such as protons and electrons which are 99.99999% empty space and electrical spin. These are then made out of quarks, which then are a part of a Superstring field which consists of vibrating strings that give rise to fundamental particles based on the nature of their vibration.”

We do interact with a world of physical objects, but this is only due to the way our brains translate sensory data through our limited 5 senses of sight, taste, touch, sound and smell.

With this information I have found myself moving much further away from form, the outer body and the image.  I’ve been looking more to the inside, to cellular health and taking note of my own charge. If at the core of what we are is electrical spins and vibrational strings- It makes sense to fine tune our ‘instrument’ so that we emanate the most harmonious electric charge of energy outwards from ourselves. It makes sense to work on enhancing the aliveness of the energy moving through our bodies.

I think we can all agree that there is nothing worst than a band playing out of sync with badly tuned musical instruments and singing with off key voices. I wonder if that’s how most of us sound if we could hear our own vibrations?

Maybe beauty and wellness are actually found in harmonious inner oscillations. Perhaps we are just the sum of all our vibrational parts?

Hmmmmm… I like facts and science but I’m OK with the mystery of it all remaining mysterious.

Getting injured and being denied access to all the pleasures and escapisms that is easily taken for granted is both a lesson in acceptance, patience and I guess becoming friendly with what is. Not to say I don’t pretend I’m not upset. I’m totally bummed. But it is what it is.

So on to learning new things like Qigong for joint rejuvenation and moving energy through the body, breath work and new silversmithing skills. I’ve been working on Aloha Windsurfing Clinics.

I look forward to catching a wave soon. Kindda super cool we can play on something that is not solid, a formless form that is able to break us in two. It’s amazing that we can surf a pulse, a physical manifestation of a charge of energy. Fabulous.

Today the wind is back, the waves are huge and I’m going to go test drive my new JP-AUSTRALIA boards and hope that my body parts stay glued together!!!
